TRAFICANT TO SPEAK AT PORTAGE COUNTY TEA PARTY MONTHLY MEETING TUESDAY EVENING AT 7:00 PM. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Independent Candidate for the 17th District US House of Representatives, Jim Traficant, will speak at the Portage County TEA Party'sit’s next monthly meeting, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Maplewood Career Center.  The center is located at 7075 Ohio Route 88 just North of Ravenna, Ohio.

Mr. Traficant just received clearance from the Ohio Secretary of State to have his name placed on the November ballot after the Board of Elections had ruled in June that he had failed to get enough valid signatures to be on the ballot.  He was previously scheduled to speak to the Portage County TEA Party the day he was ruled ineligible.

Traficant will now be on the ballot as an independent candidate competing with incumbent Democrat Tim Ryan and Republican challenger Jim Graham.  All members of the Portage County TEA Party are urged to attend so that they can talk to the candidate personally after his speech.  The meeting is open to the general public and there is no cost to attend.  Snacks and refreshments will be served.
