Romney "Educates" President on Economics

Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio Liberty Coalition released a statement tonight applauding Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney for "educating" President Obama on how the US Economy works. Tom Zawistowski, President of the OLC, said, "It was refreshing to see Governor Romney explain to the President how lowering taxes increases job growth but does not reduce tax revenue. A concept that to date has been foreign to the President. It was important for the American people to learn that revenue will actually grow if more people are working and paying taxes vs policies that raise taxes which kill jobs. The contrast between the President's insistence that the Federal Government be the main driver in the economy and Governor Romney's defense of states' rights and private enterprise were vividly clear. This debate showed two distinct visions of America's economic future: one that is driven by the Federal Government under President Obama, and one that is driven by Americans themselves, with less government involvement at all levels and free market opportunities and efficiency coming from a rational regulatory environment. We all look forward to voting on those two visions on November 6, 2012."

The Ohio Liberty Coalition is a coalition of Ohio Liberty Groups whose purpose is to unite conservative grassroots organizations for greater effectiveness in the state and nation, and to provide resources for member organizations to strengthen their groups.
