Shalersville Township Meeting
May 18, 2010

It was approved that the new housing Zoning Resolution be signed and sent to the Portage Count Assistant Prosecutor. Resolution 10-518.

An official published notice will be made to remove all Christmas decoration from the cemetery graves no later than 5/20.  
 

The Fiscal Officer was asked to complete the applications for funds from Issue II

Jim Graham introduced himself  (He is running for US Congressional District 17)

Ravenna is the current low suplier and purchase of $2,400.0 was approved.  Also needed are batteries for the road grader.  That was tabled for more prices.

Ben Kotkowski requested use of the Town Hall for the Ohio Soverienty Constitutional Amendment.  He was given resident rate one time.  $100.00.

Information on when two bridge projects would be completed, Coit Road and Cooley Road.  They are County projects and there was no answer at this time.

Leo Nagle  questioned the bill for the Health Department and how they arrived at the figure.  Nancy Vines advised she would find out.  The Township Trustees started the Health department and pay their portion every year.

The gutters on the Township Hall were repaired by Phoenix Roofing as they were already repairing the roof.  The school heating system computer control was tabled.  Memorial Day needs were discussed.  The Cemeteries will be mowed.  Flowers usually placed on all Veteran’s graves for free, will not work this year, $100.00 was appropriated for flowers.

Workshop session will be held 5/25/2010 beginning at 9:00 am.

$100.00 was appropriated for the Mantua-Shalersville Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund sponsorship of their Golf outing.

Bills totaling $9,423.15 were paid.
